Thomas A. Marlow was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 9, 1861. He came to Montana and entered the employ of Broadwater and McNamara at Fort Maginnis in 1882. In 1888 he established the mercantile firm of McNamara & Marlow at Big Sandy, Montana, with Cornelius McNamara.
